Description

Nortel Networks offers the Redundant Link Module providing hardware redundancy. The Redundant Link Module supports type 1 redundancy (hardware detect-hardware switchover) allows users to set up two adjacent uplink ports. It also supports type 2 redundancy (hardware detect- software switchover) provides redundant link pairs installed across host units. Can be set up across any of the uplink port in the stack. The module supports type 3 redundancy – allows network managers to configure redundant pairs on any fiber or 10base-T port within the stack.
