HP J1461A 4-PORT CONSOLE KVM SWITCH

Description

A console switch allows control of multiple HP NetServers and Vectra PCs from a single keyboard, monitor and mouse. Two models are available for controlling either four or eight servers. The switches may be daisy-chained together to control up to 64 servers. Connect daisy-chained switches with the switch-to-server cable sets. Note that daisy chaining uses one of the available ports. The switches are firmware-controlled and require only 1 EIA unit when mounted in the front of the rack. The switchbox may also be mounted in the rear of the rack behind any other device where there is space. Rear mounting frees up 1 EIA unit in the front of the rack.
