3Com XENPAK transceivers are industry-standard, hot-swappable devices that plug into a 10-Gigabit Ethernet slot, linking it with either a fiber- or copper-based network.
The 3Com 10GBASE-CX4 XENPAK transceiver enables one 10GBASE-CX4 connection for organizations requiring high performance long distance connections. It can be used in 3Com switches and modules that support XENPAK transceivers. XENPAKs can be mixed and matched on a given switch to maximize flexibility. It supports a link length of between 1m and 15m.
