Description
Model 540 is a compact, table-top or shelf mount, single-port Ethernet probe. Based on an i960 RISC processor with special collision counting hardware, the Transcend Enterprise Monitor 540 operates at network speeds and won’t miss a packet in critical troubleshooting situations. It features an RMON SmartAgent that complies with IETF RFC 1757 supplying 100 percent of RMON data and implementing all nine RMON groups for Ethernet.
With 16 MB of memory, the model 540 has plenty of power to support more complex RMON2 data collection through the addition of the RMON2 (ECAM) SmartAgent.
